London bombed..

As of this point of time, there have been 6 explosions in London - some on buses, and some int he tubes.

My sympathies to those affected, and my thoughts are with those that are there.

Re: London bombed..

I just heard while driving home from work, then suddenly realised "thats where my brother and wife are".Thank christ there was a message on the ph when I got home saying they are in Greece for a few days and they're ok.
A quick ph call back and he's quite shaken up about it,1 mile away from their house one bomb, but the subway that got hit is where alot of his friends catch the tube.
I'm glad he's not there but feel sorry for him having to worry about his friends.

Re: London bombed..

Yes, very sad and tragic.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the victims' friends and families, and I sincerely hope that no one here is in that group.

I think that Tony Blair did an outstanding job with his first speech on the issue this morning.

Re: London bombed..

Wow, sad day. Blair is indeed a great speaker and leader. I feel for those affected.
London will come through, but after a high yesterday to this, terrible.
These people need to be stopped no matter what.

Re: Congratulations London...

Well Al-Qaeda obviously wanted London to get the games too.

Chaotic at the moment: all public transport within London suspended; most mainline stations closed; emergency services dealing with the dead and injured. Six separate bombs, five on tubes and one on a bus near a station an hour later taking people who were crowding on the buses to get to work with the tubes closed. No accurate casualty figures yet, but several hundred injured and some dead. We're being told to remain in our offices, avoid travel (possibility of follow-up bombs near stations) and have no idea whether we we be able to get home tonight. Traffic in central London closed down, the cellular network being prioritised for public services so very hard to get calls in or out.

Re: London bombed..

Ugh. Feel like I've been kicked in the gut. My sincerest sympathies for all affected directly or indirectly.

One of my wife's good friends is in London. Our son just got a birthday card from her yesterday.

Is a paradigm worth 20 cents?

Re: London bombed..

Very sickening news! More innocent people die at the hand of evil. I am sure they were the target only because they are the biggest allied force behind the US in Iraq.

As sad as it is, I think this is going to become more and more a part of our livesÖI hope I am wrong, but I donít think I am. We must ensure there is always more good guys than the bad guys.

Team Honda - well sorta...

Re: London bombed..

So how are the terrorists advancing their cause? There is a summit of world leaders for the purpose of improving the condition of our planet and they take innocent lives in protest? Stupid.

And then there's this asshole...
