I'd like to hear your opinions on this car, and hopefully some that are objective. People who've driven them would be nice, not read C&D or something.

What do you think of the car for a long roadtrip?

Is the milage as poor as the sticker would have you believe?

I work w/ a dude who's cousin owns one. He says that they took it on a road trip and my buddy didn't like it. Not plush enough. However, this dude also thinks his Mitsubishi Spyder is a "really fast car".

I wouldn't put any stock into his opinion, and now I'm not sure why I even posted this. Okay move along. Nothing to see here!

Objective Info on the S2000

I could give you a million reasons to buy one, but to be honest I haven't driven one yet. I think northernRR may have driven 1 or 2.

The S2K is a very nice ride, sporty in all the right places! We have tossed a Paxton S/C on one (Comptech) with a Comptech exhaust and it was like a Motorcycle, almost. The car seems to be built stiff, and right on the mark for the track, while still letting you flex some love on the street. High Rev's is where the S2K lives, and with the Honda VTEC you cannot go wrong. My friend (owner of the S2K) just traded in for a brand new one (his other was new in 02) I would buy one if I could live with a two door mini car...but it is not in the cards right now.

I have also taken out a Porsche Boxter "S" and was able to drive the two cars back to back. I must say the Porsche has some more torque...but the S2K was more fun to drive! Even if you never heard "hey mom LOOK - a porsche!"

It ain't for me.... (But I'm sure I'll ring it out on occasion) Did you buy your new soccer mom car yet?
