Gettin' old :(

Does anyone remember the exact time they felt they got old? I swear, its like a light switch that clicked off in me with about a year or so of warning. The sprouting grey hairs the people actulay notice and comment on when I don't have a hat on (rare), the birthday that starts another decade, the odd pains and foods you used to enjoy now kick your ass, you realize you've been at the same job for 1/4 your lifetime, etc. I think the straw that broke the camels back this weekend was at the Laguna Moto GP. Of all the venders, all the bike, etc what interested me the most (besides the historical race bikes) was the BMW 1200GS, the Suzuki 1000 V-Strom, and the KTM 950 Adventurer I think its official...I'm gettin' old

Ahh...and you have so many more "hits" to come...

When the cute checkout girls at the store start calling you "sir"...

When you start waking up at 3 am because you don't need sleep anymore...

The day Cortisone becomes your friend...

When you actually start watching what you eat...

When you start putting a piece of carpet on the floor next to your bike so you can stand up the day after you work on it...

Lots more of these to come...but the good news is, it's all good. There are lots of benefits that offset "most" of them...

Yeah, but at a certain point you cease to give a **** what anybody thinks, since they're all know-nothing punks without experience to back up their bullshit. And their music is derivative, superficial and meaningless.

And THAT's when you just got old.

It happened for me when I turned 30.

I've not given a **** for a VERY long time; my point is that I can't find much good in getting old. I'm specifically referring to the aging process, not all the good stuff like experience, wealth, family, etc. I need to be able to stay 30ish and still have all that good ****.
