Anyone here ever ridden in a newer Ferrari

Whats it like? A 99 and up 360 Modena is my dream car next to the S7 but i figure a modena is alittle more realistic when it comes to purchase in my lifetime.

Re: Anyone here ever ridden in a newer Ferrari

I wish I'd ridden in one. I don't know anyone affluent enough to have one, and I certainly can't afford one!

Re: Anyone here ever ridden in a newer Ferrari

I think I have about 8 clients with either F355's or F360s. One of these also happens to hold the distinguished title of being the first person in the world to write off an F360 Barchetta. He's one of these "self improvement seminar" types...

Anyway, having said that, I am yet to actually beg for a ride - for fear of sounding like an ungrateful prick when I say "my bike's faster" at the end of the ride...

You'd have to have a pretty small dick to buy a car like that.

I thought small dicks bought Suburbans, Tahoes, X2's, giant pickup trucks, and crap like that complete with spinning hubcaps, lift/lower kits and **** like that nowadays. As far as I understood, fast cars were out of vogue for the genitally under-developed and were now acquired by people that really appreciate them... and the elderly.

Re: Anyone here ever ridden in a newer Ferrari

Inside joke.

Speaking of giant pickup trucks, I spent the weekend in a 2006 Dodge Cummins dually. Came away with a new respect for that motor. Awesome. Very smooth. Really effing big truck; nothing at all like the last Dodge / Cummins I drove... a '93 5-speed that rattled the fillings out of your teeth and choked you with the fumes.

And then there's this asshole...

Oh well. Ever see a Jaguar XJ220? Some guy brought one to a British auto show in north San Diego a couple years ago. I had never considered something like that was ever made for "street".

Sperm donor. Maybe.

Now that's a rare car. Haven't seen one in person. Some dealer in town here has an F40 and an Enzo though.

I'm shocked that just a short 13 years would make such a difference... With your ability to pick up on these subtle nuances, maybe you should consider a career as a journalist...

Nope, more like $500-700 for a day. You can get one for the afternoon/evening for ~$300-400.

Re: Anyone here ever ridden in a newer Ferrari

Well the motor is pretty impressive, but the rest of the truck leaves a bit to be desired. Like the door handle that you can cut yourself open on, the plastic mould flashing not trimmed around the HVAC vents, crap seats, crap speakers, and harsh transmission. It was pretty fun to drive though... steers ok for a solid axle front end, (better than a Ford at least) lights up the duals if you punch it from a stop, and there's something about having 1/2 ton drivers' heads about at hip level.

And then there's this asshole...
