Never heard of it. Is Rush some cartoon series or something?

Kandanian rock band. Neil Pert (the drummer) is one of the best of all time. Some would say THE best.

Re: Rush Fans...

Peart is right up there. I'm still a Carl Palmer fan, but Neil "gets it done".

Not quite certain about Geddy though

and your girlfriend too.

Re: Rush Fans...

best drummer in the world, Gene Hoglan hands down. he has actually said that nothing challenges him.

Neil Peart is awesome though.

if you can't convince them, confuse them.

You're only twenty five, so I'll cut you some slack. Buddy Rich could eat both of these guys for breakfast on a bad day . . .

and your girlfriend too.

Re: Rush Fans...

THeir music gets a lot of play on the radio here. I like the instrumentals but you've got to admit he sounds like an old woman trapped under the wheels of a bus.

And then there's this asshole...

I actually like his voice when he isn't yodeling (limelight is a decent example), but when he needs to really hit a high one, it comes out as a cross between Heidi and a burnout . . .

and your girlfriend too.

Re: Rush Fans...

Could someone put this file here temporarily, as my work is blocking the "restricted music category" . They think we should be working or something important like that.

ok I don't know him but I'm basing Gene Hoglan off of what others have told me. Rich sounds familiar, blues?
I've heard any style you can think of Hoglan can play with ease. Not sure if you like metal but if you ever get the chance to see Strapping Young Lad its worth it just to see a 400lb guy wail the drums. One of the things that really turned me into a Hoglan fan is one of the albums he plays on. This guy writes stuff under the band name Old Man's Child and he wrote this one cd where his drummer physically just couldn't play what he had written so he called up Gene to play.

if you can't convince them, confuse them.
