Blackberry Questions.

#1 How does it work if you don't have a Blackberry Enterprise Server? I had one at my old job and I was hooked up to the BES. Just wondering how it works is all.

#2 I'm looking to get another Blackberry and am wondering if there is a place to get one besides ebay.

Your input would be most appreciated.

I came here to chew bubble gum and to kick some ass...and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Re: Blackberry Questions.

#1. If your email service has Pop3 available, you can set it up to pop emails from that account. The contacts/calendar synchronizing will work through the Desktop manager/USB interface.

#2. Depends on your service provider. Pretty much all the phone providers have them available now. T-mobile's seemed to be the most cost effective last winter when I was looking at them.

Re: Blackberry Questions.

I use my gmail account as my BB email since [email protected] is easier to remember than [email protected]. But if you get one, you will get an account with your provider, but you can set it up to check almost any email, especially if you use AOHell, MSN, or Yahoo. With those you can do almost everything your desktop can do including IM.

I bought mine on ebay a couple of years ago and it did fine. I kinda got burned though because a month after I bought it for $300, they were $125 because a newer model was out, but hey, thats life and electronics...
