You can scroll down past the registration notice and read the entire forum.

I'm not posting this to start a second amendment flame war, so please don't go there.

It's more instructive as an internet/life interface thing.

Okay. Deep breaths guys. Did we make fun of an autistic kid, tell him where he can find buckshot, then laughed about it?

Oh, ****.

Yeah, we did.

EDIT: And then he killed people. And himself. I don't think I'm sleeping tonight.

That is going to cause a shitstorm of monumental problems for gun owners.

Why his parents allowed a MENTALLY REATARDED KID access to a firearm I will never understand. They will get what they deserve.

His parents allowed him to access to a shotgun, or he lied on an application and the background check missed that he was mentally handicapped.

Either way, the failure is that a shotgun ended up in his hands when it had no business being there. He lived with his parents, so I place the blame squarely there.

I'm guessing the courts will too. CA is very harsh on stuff like this.

You know, he's 19. The parents will probably not do too badly in court. (though they're not going to look good) The draconian laws in CA are all for children, not adults.

You Americans and your guns suck.
You should move to some pitiful isolated island where the government, people and way of life are absolutely perfect.

The interesting point is how the people on that forum acted before and after the event.

Tragedies with guns, cars, knives, sharp sticks etc. happen all the time.

Ya know I like you LTL.. but dude that's a little harsh on the retarded comment. Autism is not mental retardation and besides I thought that this kid had Aspergers Syndrom which is a different kind of complication all together.

While I agree that he never should've had access in the first place, there are many people who suffer with Autism or Aspergers and you'd never know it unless you knew their signs. He may have had some problems, but for the most part might have functioned well in every day life. With the exception of killing people and himself of course...

Normally not touchy about this stuff, but wife works with children with Autism and I have come to learn a lot and really feel bad for them as in most cases, the problem was caused by the medical system and not genetics. Levels of a mercury based stabilizer that meet FDA “safe” and “acceptable” limits are used in most vaccinations. As anyone with a child is aware, most Doctors like to give several vaccinations at once. The combination of all the mercury based stabilizers exceeds the “safe and acceptable” limits and over time actually causes the regression and eventually Autism. It’s horrible to hear of a child who was born perfect and yet around 18 months to 2 years they begin to “lose” their child.

A lot of autistics really just want to find a Kmart and get some underwear.

Sorry for the joke... can't help it sometimes. Actually all the time.

I very much agree with the sentiment of your post Crash, but the quoted bit above has been de-bunked time and time again. There is NO medical evidence whatsoever that MMR (if that is what you are referring to) causes Autism.

That forum amuses me. Thanks for the link!
