You could just use the disk-writer plugin for the conversion.

Having said that... sound quality will definitely suffer, so try this on a couple of songs and see if the results are worth it; they may not be.

All I want to do is burn an MP3 CD for my trip this week, but some of the stuff I want is in WMA format, and I don't have the CD's handy to re-rip them. Quality won't matter too much since I'll be using headphones the whole time

I know they aren't interchangeable. I want to be able to convert from wma to mp3 so I can burn them to CD. I think I may have figured out a way.....

you can always convert from wma back to wav no, and then back to WMA. Is there a one step program to do it? I can't imagine why there wouldn't be....
