No, but we considered it before we got married. I think it's a good idea for any couple whether you are the happiest couple on earth or if you fight a lot. Just helps you define your relationship.

No matter what happens, tell her you're keeping the repsol!

We had to go to a class before marriage so the Priest would marry us.

Re: Anyone here ever been in marriage counseling?

I went once, told the dude he asked too many ****ing questions. He said I had an attitude, I told him there was not a F***ing thing wrong with my attitude, and walked out.

Still married too.

It's amazing how stupid some people can be.

It works for some people. I think it comes back to getting a counselor that works for the 2 of you. If you're having problems, I do recommend trying it.

Haven't done it yet though.

Stegen I think you would have to go to school till you were like 40, I'd consider another profession along your present route.

why put off today what you can wake up late and forget to do tomorrow.

Re: Anyone here ever been in marriage counseling?

If you have been married for a while, and there isn't some significant psychological problems with your or your wife, and you are considering seeing a marriage counselor then I would say save the cost for counselling, get the divorce and move on. My $.02.

Haha... I'll second that one. Get the divorce while you can still agree on things, otherwise a divorce where you are fighting is just going to buy a couple lawyers some nice goodies.

Steg, you can't be having marital problems, what with your new surroundings (I have no place to go, no friends, and nothing to do), your new Repsol (how come I don't get a new expensive toy), new kids (i'm a slave to these crumb crunchers), new job (how come I don't get to get out of the house. I am here all by myself all day, just me and the kids, and they are driving me crazy!), your porn collection (what, am I not good enough for you?), you have established yourself as a member in good standing at the .org (are you going to spend all your time on that computer and damn website? are you ever going to pay any attention to me?). How could you possibly need counseling, .

Am I close?

Re: Anyone here ever been in marriage counseling?

It is always worth the shot. Me and the 1st ex went, she wouldn't do the exercises and stuff so it didn't work out. Takes two. The second ex didn't want to go cause she didn't want a professional to tell her she was WRONG!

Anyways, got some Q's fire away.

But, in the end it is cheaper to keep them and be unhappy. Chid support is a bitch. But then again, what is the cost of happiness.

Dude, I am diggin' this. No women wankin' in my ear about anything, especially riding the motorcycle, mountain bike or, doing nothing. Do what I want, when I want, with who I want. And here is the big kicker, if I don't want to, I don't. (that goes for anything) CHeaper to rent it and put it back on the curb in the morning.

Oh my god, you have the exact same mentality as a guy I know around here, and I always tell him that theres no way there is anybody else in the world that thinks like him.

I've found people on their 20's to be real focused on love and passion.

People in their 40's, focused on alignment with finances, goals, time, in other words they talk about love, but in practical terms.

My GF once told me I was talking like her business partner. It really pissed her off when I said that was the point.
