Saving Private Ryan on TNT

Just started... They are storming the beach now, which is the best scene in the movie I think.

awesome movie. and I believe they don't censor any of it. they didn't on whatever station I saw it on last, I think it was TNT.

if you can't convince them, confuse them.

Well with it being Veterans day on Friday, I can see them playing it a few times, though this is the first time I have seen it on...

I bought it. More than once I've put it in, thought for a second and pulled it back out. Really heavy.

You have to be in a mood for some serious blues to watch that flick. It shouldn't even be shown on TV...doesn't begin to do it justice.

I was reading a couple of related books around the time it came out. Refused to go see it in the theater. Picked up a copy as soon as it was out, and watching it made me go back and re-read the books..."The Greatest Generation" among them.

A very powerful piece of film...

Acctually, I dont have it yet... I need to get it to round out my kick-ass war movies. I have We Were Soldiers for Vietnam, and Black Hawk Down for more contemporary war stuff... Might have to pick it up soon.

A bit older, Big Red One is worth watching. We bought it recently...it made Saving Private Ryan a bit less groundbreaking than it seemed at first.

Re: Saving Private Ryan on TNT

I might check that out this weekend. Im going to rent Dust to Glory to watch at work, so I may get that as well. Seeing as I have 24 hours to burn there this weekend, Ill probably dust off the library card and go check out The Greatest Generation as well.
