PS2 Boots up in B/W

I thought I posted this before...but couldn't find the post.

Have a PS2 that boots up in black and white all of the time. Tried it on a couple of TVs. Anyone know a fix...or is it toast?

If it's toast, where is the best deal to be found on a new one...

Re: PS2 Boots up in B/W

Sounds like a bad RCA cord. A buddy of mine (Daniel) had this on his PS2 and it was pissing us off when we hooked up his new entertainment system. Turns out the plug on the back of the PS2 was out a bit causing it to be b/w. Try a new cord first or borrow one if you can... Do your neighbors have kids???

Either that or Conq did it

[edit] Nevermind, just noticed you're a supporting member, must be the cord, you should be running an S-Video anyways so now you have a reason to buy one [/edit]

Oh, well chaulk me up in the "Stupid" column, if you still have the stock ps2 cord, I would suggest trying to use that to eliminate the S-video cord as the problem. Remember always start with simple
