Re: Anyone watch Dirty Jobs?

I catch bits of it when I'm flippin channels during commercial on Overhaulin. TLC and Discovery are next to each other on the dial at my place. Pretty good stuff. The host is a good sport with some pretty funny coments.

I do all my own stunts.

Re: Anyone watch Dirty Jobs?

I have seen several shows. I was amazed how much of a good sport the host was when he did some pretty disgusting jobs. One that comes to mind was when he assisted a septic system truck company. He had to pump out someones septic tank. Part of the job was to stir up the waste so it would not clog up the hose. They had to use this long metal rod to "churn" the stuff. The owner of the truck called this equipment "turd stirer". It was pretty gross. The host commented " wow, do you get used to the smell? The owner said it's part of the job.

Turkey Farm, Potato Farm, and Sewage Treatment Plant on now.

He cracks me up. "A critical oversight that has led to another mouthful of poo."

Re: Anyone watch Dirty Jobs?

I'd be more worried about shoveling all that in the Sewage Treatment Plant.

Re: Anyone watch Dirty Jobs?

The chicken sexer episode was pretty funny. //squeeze\\

Actually he did a couple episodes a few years ago, and they just stopped showing them. Then he popped back up. He (Mike Rowe) also did the narration for the Deadliest Catch series on Discovery Channel. This is how my Tivo has made me smarter as I can now tape this stuff and watch it in half the time at my leisure.
