Got her up and running...

Well finally ordered the parts and got the thing up and running. First pc build for moi. It's sweeeeeet. Ended up going with the following:

Athlon 64 X2 3800+
ASUS A8N-SLI PREMIUM NF4
XFX|7800GT 256M PVT70GUDF7 GPU
Dell 2005FPW LCD
2GB of Corsair Value Select RAM
Seasonic S12-500 PSU
NEC ND-3550A DVD burner
DVD-ROM ASUS | DVD-E616A
Mitsumi floppy/card reader combo
HD 250G|WD 7200 SATA2 16MB WD2500KS
THERMALTAKE Tsunamai VA3000BWA case
SAITEK ECLIPSE KEYBOARD
Logitech MX518 Optical Mouse

Was pretty nervous pushing the power button for the first time.....only to have nothing happen.... Ripped the wires off for the front of the box and reinstalled and pushed it again and voila.....no smoke, bangs etc. Everythings been running smoothly for the last two days. Dang, HL2 and CSS sure look mighty fine on here with all the eye candy! I'll never buy another Dell etc from now on....custom from here on out. Was very easy to put together.

A driver input device... in case the SATA drive wasn't recognized, so I wouldn't have to screw around with the XP install disk....but I mainly put it in for the USB2 CF/SD/XD card reader built into it.

Or if you want something really useless, find a copy of Apple OS X x86 and run that.

Not bad for a nose picker....

Consult your Navy acquaintances for the meaning of a nose picker .
