Brrrrrrrrr.

Man I forgot how cold it really gets around here at night time. Rode the Rumbling Bumble Bee to bike night last night and froze my arse off. It was around 40 on the way home.

Pussy.
It's funny though, because in your situation it's true. When we were racing with CCS we would roll into Firebird in the winter months and jump out of the truck wearing maybe a long sleeve shirt and sweats, but usually just a t-shirt and maybe shorts. All the locals would be huddling around in their parkas, hats, gloves, etc. complaining about the CCS holding races when it was so cold, or why can't registration be inside a nice warm building.
Of course, I wondered why the CCS had to hold races at Firebird in July, but that's a different story. I think when the sign at the track says 115 degrees most everyone is a bit uncomfortable.

Re: Brrrrrrrrr.

When I first moved here I was loving the winter time here. Like you said I'd wear a long sleeve t-shirt at the most. But now that I've been here 5 years....damn it's cold.

Re: Brrrrrrrrr.

It's raining right now...except that it's freezing before it hits the ground. We call that freezing rain in these parts `round here. Usually that means it's kinda chilly.

We had that, too. Damn near fell on the sidewalk. We also refer to that as "black ice" around here. Looks like it's just wet, but it's a sheet of ice.

Re: Brrrrrrrrr.

We had a nice Ice Storm last week. As soon as I stepped onto the driveway, my feet went straight up and I landed on my azz. I am glad that it was early enough in the morning that none of the neighbors saw me, or heard the sailor talk that followed

We know what wind chill is, without it we would have nothing to complain about

Must obey the sheep dog

Re: Brrrrrrrrr.

Reaper why don't you come back up here for a couple days and we'll give you something to complain about. today was just as NH and HG2 said, freezing rain and black ice. And in addition to that it got really windy. Around noon the main highway to get on/off and down Cape Cod (Route 6) was shut down because of downed power lines so you had to find other ways around to get off.

if you can't convince them, confuse them.
