Classic SoCal hyperbole... 20 foot surf would require a storm or something and we all know there is a force field around Hollywood that will never allow that.

That kind of surf might even wash out one of your Starbucks.

Actually he is not kidding. There are some high waves right now. In fact there was a record number of surf rescues in the last couple of days.

I know I was giving you coasters a hard time. I lived in HB for a couple of years and my surf buddies emailed me about the large waves, they said many areas were closed in but they surfed 10' at Trestles.

Re: To all you Cali and other non-winterins

Enjoy you snowmobilin' and enjoy your skiing but also enjoy your shovelin, chippin, scrapin, slippin and, fallin. Ya see, we can do that snow stuff too... just go visit, play and here is the best part, LEAVE it there. Matter of fact, the slopes 45 min from here have been open for the last month. Nice seeing snow "capped" mountains. Just as long as it stays up there.

Tomorrow it is suppose to be 80 degrees. Time to break out the R-1 and go for a ride. Roads should be bare... ahhhh, Cali, the good life.

insert dancing banana emoticon with a Santa hat here:

Re: To all you Cali and other non-winterins

What everyone seems to not understand about SoCal is that we have mountains too. It's not just a lush mediterranean paradise that all you northerners are geographically and economically excluded from. We CAN go skiing AND to the beach AND the desert all in the same day.

I spent plenty of years up north that the whole snow thing doesn't interest me unless I take my MTB up 5800 feet to the local peak from my house to go find it.
