Re: King Kong

Yeah, I'd have to agree w/ you, it was the longest movie of my life.... I thought it coulda been better if they chopped some of the scenes, or atleast shortened them....

Re: King Kong

It was a big time waste. I've had people tell me you have to understand "King Kong" to appreciate it. Dunno about that. As far as movies fo, it sucked. Might have made a better juvenile kids book with those pull-tabs and pop-up monsters.

I would have walked out but I was talked into riding in an actual car with some people. I would have been sitting on a less comfortable bench for the duration so I just tried to ignore it. I'm finding more appreciation for LONG movies at home where I can take a break. I enjoyed LOTR, but even those were starting to become tedious.

Re: King Kong

I liked the start. they built up the story and characters quite well, but then, the story got lost in CGI...

Re: King Kong

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you fine gents here...I thought the movie was a tad long also, but I understand why....Jackson took the time to set-up of the story properly....the CGI was well done and the scenes put together well...I liked the movie......thought it was awesome...but that's just me....anybody has an idea of Jackson's next project?

Wait for it to get on the Dollah for a week rental list and watch it after Dumb and Dumber.

Put it right there with Napoleon. As stated somewhere in this thread, "I've had people tell me you have to understand "King Kong" to appreciate it". Guess I didn't get it.

Big Monkey fight Dinosaur. Bugs eat people.

Uhg, me like movie.

Seriously, my wife liked it a lot more than I did. I guess she was jazzed on the idea of "Big monkey play with Barbie Doll."
