Fourteener...

Since I moved to Boulder CO a couple of months ago I have become obsessed with hiking some or all of the 53 fourteen thousand foot peaks here in Colorado.

Anyone here done any of them?

Re: Fourteener...

Yes. You have come to the right place. The closest one to you is Long's Peak. It is considered one of the harder ones though. If you want a couple of easy ones to start out on, I would recommend Greys and Torreys west of Georgetown. It is only about a 7 mile round trip and 2 to 3 thousand foot elevation gain. Piece of cake. It should take around 6 hours to get back to the parking lot. I have hiked 11 of them and would like to get more under my belt.

Re: Fourteener...

Nope.

But I've been over 14k feet on Mt Shasta, twice. You have cramp-ons and an ice axe? I'm sure at least some of them will require them.
