'07 Tundra

link

Fugly. Just a mess of random curves and lumps... looks very commitee-designed.

On spec, seems pretty impressive so far:

5.7L V8 300+ horse (I would guess around 330-340)
6-speed auto
150.5 inch wheelbase (7.5 inches longer than a GM 1/2 ton crew)
Towing cap. 10000+

That's all they're saying so far.

And then there's this asshole...

Re: '07 Tundra

I like the interior, but I don't particularly care for what they did to the front, it is kinda ugly. Guess I'll be keeping my '02! I liked the front the past couple of years better than mine, but this one went a bit too far...

Re: '07 Tundra

It actually looks not too bad from the side, but the front 3/4 view is a mess IMO. Still haven't seen any photos of a crew cab.

Re: '07 Tundra

I've noticed quite a few new vehicles coming with 6-speed autos. Are they 4th 1:1 with 5th and 6th being overdrive?

Re: '07 Tundra

I have been considering purchasing a 2006 Tundra soon. Anyone have one? Thoughts as to if I should go for it or wait on the 2007?

If I had to guess I'd say it probably has 5 close-ratio gears and 1 overdrive. In the 6-speed Allisons it's 4 normal gears and 2 overdrives, but that's on a motor with 650 foot pounds, so... ya.

I would look for a cheap '06. If you get one of the first 07's you're gonna get hosed.

Wait until the '07 actually hits the showrooms... any remaining 06 units will get highly incentivized, plus you'll have some negotiation leverage.

And then there's this asshole...
