Anyone have a G5 Airport antenna

my brother's G5 (2004) was suppose to come with an antenna to plug into the back of the computer (airport ready as they called it) but it never came with one. He's been running airport for awhile now but his signal is usually only about 2 of 4 bars. The antenna isn't available from Apple anyone and he can't find it anywhere else. anyone have one laying around they don't need.

this link is for an extension cable but shows the actual antenna on the end http://www.macwireless.com/html/prod...extension.html

if you can't convince them, confuse them.

Re: Anyone have a G5 Airport antenna

already did that search. figured maybe someone here would like a few bucks thrown their way if they aren't using one and have it laying around.

Re: Anyone have a G5 Airport antenna

Hmmm... have you tried calling 800-APPL-CARE to see if they can sell you one? It seems hard to believe that they wouldn't still make it when G5's are still in production (or at least in stock). Or go to a Genius Bar if you have an Apple Store around. I have a bluetooth one, but not an AirPort, since I didn't get the AirPort card.

Re: Anyone have a G5 Airport antenna

I told him to go down the local apple store and ask. his computer didn't come with an airport card but the manual says it was suppose to come with the antenna.

He never really listened to me when he got the card and I said he needs the antenna. he finally agreed once I put a Sonnet AriaExtreme (using airport software) in my G4 and it has a full 4 bars.

Which side is it on? The one with the patchoulli oil or the other with the hash pipes?
