Home Office "All in Wonders"

I have a HP Officejet 7310, that I broke recently.

I need to go buy a new one, but HATE all the bullshit that comes along with installing software from HP nowadays. I specifically disallowed it from doing their auto-update, but the damn thing still keeps popping up little BS tabs to update or whatever. So, I'd prefer no HP.

Any ideas?

Don't install the printer with the CD. Download drivers only from the website.

You're closer than you might think.

It kept munching a fax, a resume for my GF so it was important, and I got pissed and smacked the side. It busted the glass. Oops.

Here's a version from Minolta that looks sweet.

Cannon's version at this price point.

Duly noted. Will do for the next machine.

Does it need to print color?
Brother makes some pretty decent laser B/W all-in-one machines in the $350-$400 range.

Brother is one of the most overlooked brands and their laser printers are the best I've ever used.

Yeah, for sure it does.

I saw a couple of brother machines out looking and passed on all of them. So, good stuff then?

Re: Home Office "All in Wonders"

All in one = no good for any

Buy a real printer and you won't get all the crap.

I like my HP all-in-one. G-85(95)x, or something. I just told a bussiness associate that it was one of the best devices I have ever owned, of any kind. I would definitely do an HP again.
