Both of my dogs are insured with Vet Pet Ins. (VPI)

Saved me $$ on vaccinations and an urgent care visit.

Re: How to choose the right pet health insurance

It's all a bet. I've got a situation complex enough where I do most of my own basic veterinary treatments, but the invasive/emergency stuff still goes to the doc. In one group of animals I got, two of four developed rectal prolapse and one had other "issues", lost three of four. Of course, the sick animals cost the most to care for but my guys don't give a whole lot of warning that something is wrong. I doubt the different insurances will reimburse for full necropsies and all, which is what would really interest me.
