Okay so I've been driving my scoob for 2 weeks now so I'm used to it, now it time to unveil it to the org.
Its a 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS
Color: Ridgeline Blue Pearl -Darker than I wanted but allows me to keep a low profile so I'm happy with it
Trans: 5spd - came with a racing clutch and short throw shifter....I like it alot
This is the body style I originally started searching for but found they were within $1,000 of a WRX (used obviously) so I figured why not pay the extra grand for a turbo
Logic then struck me that a turbo is asking for a bus pass due to lack of self control. Also I came to the conclusion that I wanted something I would like and theres no way I could ever be happy with those Dodge Neon bug eye looking round headlights. So I kept searching and came across this car for well below market value, I had to drive to NY to get it but it wasnt really a big deal.
Ride Report: 10 out of 10 KICK A**!!!!
I know its not the fastest car in the world but its way faster than what I am used to driving so I cant wipe the grin off my face everytime I drive it. The racing clutch is pretty heavy but it grabs like theres no tomorrow, combined with the short throw shifter the thing rocks, so quick and smooth through the gears.
It does feel a little rough on the bumps but that was expected from a "sports" car. Slight body roll around the twisties but extremely smooth and comfortable, always feels grounded.
Getting a little less than I should be only cuz everyone wants to go for a ride and bugs me to show them what its got.
Super comfy seats feel like they are giving you a hug when you sit down. Shifter position is perfect, arm rest is smaller than I'm used to but I'm glad it has one so I'll take it.
I couldnt be happier with it, I think its the perfect car for me. It may not be the coolest or the fastest in the world but it exceeds all my requirements for a daily driver. And the WRX exhaust that was on it sounds awesome. Only downside is the tinted windows look awesome so I refuse to peel it off.
Heres some pics that I was emailed prior to purchase (havent had a chance to take my own yet)
