Re: Valentine 1 Radar Detector

It is time to upgrade from my old Escort Solo 5 (especially since it just inexplicably quit working). Seems like a lot of you folks love the Valentine 1. I will miss the cordless feature, but have been told that battery operated units cannot match the sensitivity of a 12V system anyway. Sooo, for those of you who have shopped, where can I get the best price? It appears to be one expensive mutha! Here is one comparison I found on the net - looks like the Valentine pretty much blows away the competition, except on warranty. TIA!

Re: Valentine 1 Radar Detector

The thing is permanently upgradeable Bacchus. I know one guy that sent his in after 6-7 years of use. They charged him $150 for the upgrade to the newer unit.

Yep.

Well worth it, though.
