Re: CBR1000RR

for some reason,

I buy this one... Seeing a lot of the pics start to looking the same, can only mean each one is getting closer and closer to an original...

Colors suck though...

Re: CBR1000RR

yeah CC, I am with you! colors are beat...but its like the 93 or 94 RR when they rewrote superbike by stuffing a 900RR motor in a 600 frame, pretty much. Maybe they are hoping it will do it again!

Re: CBR1000RR

I like it

I wish they would've tucked the intakes on the 600RR just the same.

Look at where those passenger pegs are. I can't see that being very comfortable for anyone

Re: CBR1000RR

Hm, looks sort of dirt-bike cheesy. I like the Red/White/Blue concept (ala 80's Honda sportbikes) but hm... perhaps it will be stunning in person.

Looking forward to seeing the pictures from the show in Europe this month (some time in the next week maybe) and then at the traveling MC road show.

Honda had BEST not cheese-out like they did last year and only start showing up with the 600RR we could sit on until the later show dates.

I'm also very curious to see if and what the RC51 looks like this year (if it's even sold). It's long overdue for a graphics change.

Re: CBR1000RR

Now that I look at it again, it pretty much looks like a 600RR frame. The swingarm is different, but I can't tell any other differences Maybe they did stuff a 1000cc motor into a 600 frame

Re: CBR1000RR

I see radial brakes...
I don't like the colors even a little bit. I forsee a lot of custom color scheme 1000's...

Re: CBR1000RR

I thought the 04 was supposed to have dual underseat exhaust. *Pipe looks too big and centered if that's the case.

The fork tubes are still out of whack. Just another photo-chopper getting his rocks off.

It's hard to see, but the radial calipers look like tokiko's rather than the us

Re: CBR1000RR

to pick it apart:

no reflectors...that would never happen stock.

front wheel spokes look weird.

why is there a heel guard on the rear peg.

Team Honda - well sorta...

Looking at the photo more closely:

The rear peg heelguard is not surprising to me. *My VFR had those (whatever they are) and if you look at the ZX10 it does as well.

Spoke on the front wheel does look pretty wacky.

The pictures that I saw of the real ZX-10R did not have reflectors either (at least the photo of the green one I am looking at right now does not):
ex:

Looking at the lines on the forks and comparing the seat line and a line drawn though the mirros it all looks to be in perspective (although strange to the naked eye). *Hm..

Just something to consider...

Re: CBR1000RR

I doubt it's a heel guard. Looks more like a hook for luggage

Re: CBR1000RR

Uh, that 'passenger heel guard' looks like the rear brake reservoir to me.
I think the colors kick ass. If that were an actual picture, and those colors made it here, I bet it would be the #1 selling color.
That said, where do the air inlets lead to? Why is the swingarm straight off the 954? What's up with the muffler (ie where's the pipe leading to it)? Why is the rear brake reservoir there?
Too much wrong in this photo to be real.
Luckily there's only a few days left until the BS is sorted from the real.
