New addition to the room (Gun Safe)

Ran into aguy at the range that is significantly down-sizing his collection and had an empty safe in the way. Ended up getting it at a great price, and went and got it today. Luckily it came from and went to a ground floor room, so no moving up and down. The inside is convertable and can hold an ass-load of guns. I left all of my hunting rifles at the parents house until I got this into the apt. Now its time to fill it.

Suggestion check the rating on temperature. The gun safes I looked at had higher temperature ratings that fire safes and the papers might not be protected

This will withstand 1200 Degrees for 32 minutes... Here in the apt there is a fire suppressor in the ceiling above, so it should be fine.

A friend and I talked to some guys at an FD about that. He said the fire rating on a safe is practically worthless. Don't keep papers in a home safe you're not willing to lose.

Nice Niner! I was given a small safe about 2 years ago and it was one of the best things I've ever got (even better, mine was a present)!

I got it for guns, but I use it for much more than that...
