So I'm sitting here watching the news, and the politician in South Dakota that killed a rider ... well at the end of the story they say 'If convicted, [he] could recieve a maximum of 10 years in prison.' Well the story immediately following that was the one about the college student that threatened the girl claiming rape against Kobe Bryant. After that story they say 'If convicted, he could recieve a maximum of 5 years in prison.'
I tell ya, only with America's justice system could you go to jail for 5 years for threatening someone and 10 years for killing a rider.
I'm disgusted.

In Canada, you are eligible for parole after 1/3 of your sentence... soo... that cop would be out in 3 years and 4 months. While Kobe would be out in less than 2 years.
Sad.

Some will definitely disagree with me here, but... if there was a fund for the, ahem, re-education of a certain Congressman I'd definitely contribute.

Over in Oz we just had some politicain jailed for 3 years due to some paper error or scam (don't follow politics) but at the same time you hear about peodophilles getting off with just warnings, so it's not just your american legal system, ours suck as well
