Which mexican city???

The lady and I have a free 4 night stay in a resort(Pueblo Bonito) in either Mazatlan or Cabo San Lucas. I've not been to Mexico before and was looking for a little guidance as to which place we should visit. I've already looked at some tourism sites and the two look pretty similar as far as activities and such. What do you guys think?

Re: Which mexican city???

I've been to Mazatlan and was not impress.... I never been to Cabo though but that's where I would go.

Mazatlan should be a more "Mexican" town and Cabo a more touristic place...

I'd like to try PETO Rico, but heard it's easy to pick up an STD there...

Re: Which mexican city???

What kind of stuff are you into? I lived in Cabo for about 2 and a half months. It's bloody humid and hot in the summer, but that's when the surf is pumping up the east cape. If you are into water-sports, Cabo, if you are into "Learning the culture" Mazatlan. Cabo hosts the worlds richest sport-fishing tournament in the world, 3 mill in prizes last year.

I didn't like living there, but I really love visiting, I would spend a couple months a year if I could afford it, just no streets for riding! Although in downtown there are a lot of harleys, and stupid people dodging pot-holes on CBRs....
