I love watching that one. God I miss my old job sometimes.

That guy didn't look like a tough guy to begin with. Does he tout himself as such or something?

no, but gfj likes to rate everyone as 'someone who's ass I could kick' or 'someone who's ass I couldn't kick' so, I guess that guy is the latter.

why put off today what you can wake up late and forget to do tomorrow.

No way in hell. I went up in a glider once that did a stall. I was sick for two days. Put me on a small boat in some big surf no problems.

Re: Passing out with the Blue angels

Unless you have pulled some serious G's...... you have no idea what that feels like. It takes a long time to get use to. HOWEVER - he passed out a LOT. Therefore - he would not make it as a pilot. He would flunk out before he ever got to hold a stick. The "test" flight would put him away!

Re: Passing out with the Blue angels

Too funny! But in addition to all that training, doesn't the pilot also wear a g-suit with all of the compression pockets to help them squeeze the lower body?? I dated an AF pilot while he was in training and they always seemed to have g-suits on for their flights. They were just flying trainers (T-37s & T-38s at the time) so maybe that made a difference.

Yes - most pilots wear the g-suit. Or as I call it....the barf blocker. It gets more blood to the head when the head needs it the most. He should have been wearing a g-suit. I need to look at the video again. I've never had a civilian in my plane(s) - so....I don't know if it's required.

But you didn't marry him so apparently the g-suit wasn't that effective...

Did you miss the "tough guy gets airborne", "tough guy passes out", and "tough guy explaines scene 2" lables just to the left of the video??? That is what I was refering to. I think whoever made the web site was refering to how the guy seems to be trying to play it cool when the expression on his face after the first accent is saying "WTF have I gotten myself into?"

At least he went up in the plane.

He made it a step further than I would care to go.

The Blue Angels and Thunderbirds do not wear g-suits when they fly. Because they fly so close together, wearing a g-suit would cause them to crash into each other when they inflated as the bladders would push against the stick.

If you never try anything new, you'll miss out on many of life's great disappointments.
