WRX year models

Any year to avoid? I'm looking for another car and a WRX is on the short list. Seems like there was some ownership on this forum, so are any years worse off than others? I know this year it went to a 2.5L, but otherwise, are any years worse off than any other?

gracias...

cc

Re: WRX year models

They've always been good cars. Here's some sites for research.

www.wrxfanatics.com

www.nasioc.com

I still have my 2004 WRX Wagon. It was supposed to be the wife's car, but I leave before she does in the morning and usually leave her the 98 Trooper

25k miles and up for sale b/c we're almost in the market for a Nissan Titan.

Actually, Toyota bought them up after GM sold the company.

CC, two guys at work have them. One has a Gen1 the other has a Gen2. Good luck prying the keys even from their cold dead hands if you wanna get your hands on their cars. They absolutely love them to death and have had no problems to speak of. From what they say, the Gen3 has a much more refined suspension and rides tons smoother, and it also has a little more power. I can confirm the ride, I've ridden in the Gen2 and have driven a Gen3. It's an absolute hoot to drive.
