Top Shelf Long Island Ice Tea

OK .ORG I know someone in here has to have a proper recipe.

I have tried throwing together a long island out of what I have in the liquor cabinet but I guess I dont have the right brand stuff.

Someone here know exactly how much and of what (including brand) to toss together a kick ass long island?

Do share.

Re: Top Shelf Long Island Ice Tea

Remember no Tea in a Long Island, it does have Just a bit of Coke though.

I worked at a bar in uni and it was funny when people would order a Long Island, they would sip it, chiver and say "This is not a Long Island Iced Tea" The pre mix is just not that same.

Re: Top Shelf Long Island Ice Tea

FYI... if you run Smirnoff through a carbon filter 6 times it becomes as smooth tasting as Absolute. It was on myth busters.... the carbon removes the smell and taste, go figure. So what's the recipe for a Purple Rain?

Yeah we know your version of the Holy Bible has 2000 drinks in it written from Jesus himself. The cover says "2000 different ways to drink Jesus's blood"

Cool! Thanks Purpdust.

I will print this out and take it to Bevmo.
BTW the best long island I have had was from Ruths Chris steakhouse. If you havnt tried it you must go. Try the Ribeye and get the banana pie for desert.

I have had several memorable experiences at Ruth's Chris. Don't remember the Long Island, but have had some good wines, and the best port to touch my lips to date.
