It's coming on again at midnight (eastern). I've got it set to tape since I missed it earlier.

Re: Warrior One

The artwork and detail is great. Samae quality that Foose places on all his work.

The emphasis placed on something for the CNN newsgroup pisses me off though. The journalists did and do nothing but get in the way and cause problems in my opinion. Why would anyone want to honor them?

Get a HUMMER from thr 101st and honor those guys. Then you would have something.

I know that the HUMMER is to be auctioned off for charity. That's great. They could have forgone the CNN theme and went with a theme that honored our active and sacrificial Military though.

Again, who gives a crap about CNN's journalists?

I do. They serve a vital purpose in war to provide a documentary record of what happened.

Oh, and if you think they just get in the way, google Sanjay Gupta and read how he saved 2 Marine's lives by performing emergency brain surgery on them... while embedded as a CNN correspondent.

Now it doesn't mean that having journalists around don't cause problems. But they serve a vital purpose. It was their Hummer, and if they want to get it all tricked out, more power to them.

As someone who would be ecstatic to take a trip over there as a photographer to the various media outlets, I care. They're risking their lives just as much (probably more since most of them lack any sort of combat training and don't carry weapons) as any of the soldiers.

Would you be ok with no news reports from the Middle East? Would you be ok if the only reports came from military sources?

Re: Warrior One

I would be fine with no news reports.

If you want to be a journalist during a military ordeal I say get to a boot camp. Do some training. Serve some serious time. Learn to carry a weapon and use it under fire instead of a camera.

Sounds like you'd be perfectly happy living in North Korea or even China. No offense, but that is one of the most idiotic things I've heard in quite some time.

And for the record, there just happens to be a little set of dog tags under my avatar.

Re: Warrior One

I found it interesting that even after exchanging the entire steering system for a new unit the damn thing would still only constantly turn to the left.

yes, I saw and have always noticed your tags.

I'm not saying the American people don't have a right to know what's going on. I'm saying that most journalists cause more problems than not.

Now, in terms of honoring journalists that journeyed into the front; They are only out there for a story.
