Re: MSN Messenger - Disable Auto updates

Click tools, options, and under the general tab uncheck the box for 'Automatically run Messenger when I log on to Windows.'

Re: MSN Messenger - Disable Auto updates

If you want to temporarily shutdown Messenger, you can right click on the system tray icon and then choose 'Exit'.

Re: MSN Messenger - Disable Auto updates

I do not want to turn it off or take it off the bottom bar, I want to dis able the Auto Update that it does every time you log on to your computer. It puts something in the registry that makes it do a check every time, but it did not even remove it when I uninstalled it. I need to find what is doing it, it is driving me crazy.
