ehhhhh, give it a week to rest up a bit before you jump back on it. It would depend ( for me ) on how much mobility it has. If you can easily enough use it to put your foot down at stoplights, I'd go for it. But that's me, your milegage may vary.

Re: ride with broken ankle

are you limping around or using crutches. it's hard to ride with crutches strapped to your back. it obstucts your lean angle preventing you from really being able to dip into the corners. and if you don't take them with you you're screwed when you get there cause you don't have your crutches. as soon as you can ditch the cutches i say you are fine.

Re: ride with broken ankle

thanks for the advice i forgot about the crutches? it would look a little funny riding down the road with them strapped across the tank. by law would i have to hang red flags on the ends?

Re: ride with broken ankle

Just strap it up and go for a short ride. It should be fine. I broke my ankle badly in 1982 and had such withdrawal symptoms I couldn't resist at going for a ride. It was fine in the end.

Better to burn out than fade away!

Not sure I'd want to do that myself....

Do you have a cast on the ankle? Can you drive with your left foot? Is it even legal to ride with a cast on?
