Re: Gas Prices?

There's several billion people in this world and we just have to show them our lifestyle. All those people are moving from the farmland to towns. There's only so much oil. Like the limited amount of land, supply and demand will be the logic. 4$ a gallon sounds far cheap the way things are going. Most people have no idea how in demand our resources will be.

"Whatever the market will bear" is what it will be.

It is about $2.65 here and i think that is terrible...but hopefully wages will boost up because gas is causing cost of living to rise also?

I have to agree with you there, we're sitting somewhere around 2.80 here and it sucks, but I'm reaching that IDGAF point.....I still think it's ridiculous though

Re: Gas Prices?

While I do remember the 75 cents a gallon that was early for me. That may be why paying $2.98 is such a pain in the arse. I am with you about the cost of living. I work in construction and here in MI there is none to be had(economy sucks) so the fuel prices are affecting me more than usual. I have'nt gotten to the IDGAF yet, might be happier if I did. I'm actually contemplating selling my wife's Avalanche for a more economically feasable vehicle. I still am trying to ride to and from work as much as possible, but even that hurts when filling up. Over $20 to fill the Goldwing from "E".

I would have to say no to that quandry. I know that you shouldn't run it in vehicles unless the owners manual says so because of some fuel system change. Computer and some of the hardware has to be swapped out. E85 is much more corrosive than standard gasoline and will eat some of the fuel system components. Maybe somebody thats a tech could chime in here and clarify this. Or better yet repost that question in the garage section. GO FOR IT SINFULDRAGON!

Re: Gas Prices?

It went from 2.65 earlier this week to 2.99 on the way home yesterday.

This is the reason I bought my old POS 94 Saturn. Round trip to work and back is 55 miles. My Jeep gets about 12 miles per gallon while the Saturn is getting 32. Even at $2.65 a gallon the Jeep would cost me about $12 a day to drive while the Saturn is only about $ 4.50 a day. I figure I am saving roughly $ 150 a month by driving the Saturn. And considering I only paid $1k for it, it paid for itself in under 7 months.

Re: Gas Prices?

you know I've got to buy something with four doors or at least able to seat 4 comfortably by the end of the year and I was gonna buy a new truck, the more I'm thinking about it the more I'm considering buying a civic or something similar

Re: Gas Prices?

The Mazda 6 looks like a good car. I'm considering one of those when the Saturn finally kicks the bucket. That or maybe a Nissan Maxima.

Re: Gas Prices?

yeah, my only problem is that I'm use to having a truck when I need it, to tow stuff and take my bike somewhere if I need to or pick up a bike, I'm gonna hate borrowing someones truck to do that

Re: Gas Prices?

I do miss not having a truck too. Eventually I'll get a trailer for my Jeep. It could pull bikes easily.
