Re: Ahnald back
I know I don't talk politics anymore...but I can't resist this one.
I was very impressed by Gray's concession speech. If he sticks to what he said, he's truly a gentleman. We'll see what final legislation he tries to ram through in the projected 3 weeks it will take to certify the election. It also makes me think that Gray has no intentions of leaving politics.
Screwusthefullmonte? I would rather have paid the high license fees and kept Gray. Gray is the consummate politician and a moderate. Cruz reminds me of an old skool NY politician...
The talking heads in the media are saying the dems have hinted that they're going to try a recall on the Governator, against Gray's wishes. You know what? I hope they do. I think it would seriously injure that party in the state, and they might learn why exactly there was a recall in the first place...a voter revolt against the BS that party's been pulling in CA lately.
The other interesting thing I'm seeing is that 30 something % of the Bay Area was pro recall, 70 something % of southern California was pro recall.
Bubba, there's a law with minimal requirements (~850,000 sigs out of 35million people) allowing a recall. Gray also isn't the first. I think it was ND that recalled a governor, a long time ago.
