Re: VIN Question

If you buy a replacement motorcycle frame from the manufacturer (directly or indirectly, like from a licensed distributor), does it come with a VIN number stamped on it?

Re: VIN Question

I would say YES! *it has to...

I would call Hondog to make sure before you press the go button...

you would have to retitle it as far as I know, I don't think you get your numbers again.

Team Honda - well sorta...

Re: VIN Question

When you call, you'll have to give them a PIN number.

I've heard they don't...that you have to get it stamped.

Re: VIN Question

According to Ron Ayers, replacement frames do not come with a VIN (number) stamped on them. It is up to the buyer to coordinate registration, licensing, and VIN (number) application with their local DMV.

I'll try to be nicer when you start trying to be smarter.
