Re: Soap Box Thread

I'll tell you what really ticks me off:
Two nights ago, around 11:00 PM, I was driving my sleeping children and wife home from a day at Grandma's. We were passing the various sections of Harlem, avoiding the South Bronx Yankees' traffic, and I see hundreds of VERY small children not just out, but UP, AWAKE, and PLAYING on the streets of NYC. I felt really guilty myself because I let my kids fall asleep in the car that late at night (8:45PM), and they were going to get home really late (11:45PM), while these folks, living in the projects, were keeping their kids up and out until all hours of the night...Crazy. Also, I began to get all mad because of the generational-use of public assistance, with scores of extended families living in government housing, with food stamps, welfare, and WIC to feed them, but with late-model Lexus, Acura, Cadillac, and other vehicles in the parking lots...

BAILIFF: Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?
PETER GRIFFIN: I do...You bastard...

Nails. I hate nails. Brand new back tire.

Oh well, my front was getting bad and this gives me an excuse to change brands.

Super Corsa or 2ct? I'll probably go with whichever I can get a better deal on.

Re: Soap Box Thread

I ran the Metzler sport-tourers for a while on my old Kaw, but I've never messed with their sticky stuff.

I've always heard great things about the pilot powers and never tried them, and I've heard the super-corsas are pretty serious.

These would be the same people that have always got plenty to drink, gamble and smoke, it's the same the world over. Those cars would all be on finance so some of the blame must go to the finance companies.

Re: Soap Box Thread

I'm at the lights yesteday and my rearview mirror starts to vibrate because some dude behind me has this DOOF DOOF DOOF music going on. They drive past your house day and night - same thing. So ok it's clearly turning their brains to mush but I think it must also qualify as some type of noise polution. Hearing disorder solutions, now there is a growth industy of the future..

Re: Soap Box Thread

Why is it when some lousy bastard drops a huge dump in the toilets the smell lingers around hours after flushage despite the fact there is ventilation (a legal requirement for any loo) and the source of the offending odor was not only instantly submerged in water (unless you've been camping and used a **** pit it's easy to take for granted how much water dulls the smell) but has long since been ejected from the locale.

But no, you just walk in there and your nasal hairs are bombarded by some bastard's **** particles floating around the room and climbing into your lungs. If it's particularly bad you can taste it.

WHY IS IT SO?

Re: Soap Box Thread

Tourists that have to stop in the middle of a corner, get out of their car and take pictures of mountain goats. You come around a corner and there is a Toyota Camary with all the doors open, in the middle of the road.

It`s a long way to the Top if you wanna Rock and Roll!!

Re: Soap Box Thread

Yestday we spotted a Harley rider chugging the wrong way up a one way street, he was clearly breaking the law and clearly did'nt care just going straight up the middle of the road and making no effort to "bring the thing around" and do the right thing. He either had no respect for the law or no confidence in turning that thing around... The worst part about it was the fact that he did not bother to make room for the traffic coming the other way...

Re: Soap Box Thread

Spelling - You "LOSE" a race; "LOSE" your mind; "LOSE" your wallet.

Your rearsets rattle "LOOSE"; your dog got "LOOSE" from his cage; she is "LOOSE" after a few drinks.

I swear if I see it "LOSE" spelled "LOOSE" one more time...I will freaking "LOSE" it. I didn't post this in the thread it needs to be in but since it is the soapbox thread...

Re: Soap Box Thread

Grammar and English were by far my worst subjects, and still are, so you wouldn't think it would drive me as crazy as it does. I had an English teacher once tell me that my writing was "awful." I don't profess to be perfect but a little effort from some people would be awesome.
