Yeah but Jesse was right. That dudes idea was stupid and didn't go with what the show is about.

That guys dumbass idea was like taking the 5.0 and Mustang symbols off the car and putting dubs and fishing boat paint on a John Deere.

Re: Monster garage

The 2nd version was just as stupid from an engineering perspective....as soon as I saw the PVC pipe plenum idea, I knew it was doomed....

Paid to be a Fuktard on TV....what a great gig...

Re: Monster garage

They're swinging away from what made the show cool. One of the rules is 'the vehicle must appear stock', or some such. They've done a bunch lately (rock crawler, this one) that don't. The first season was kick ass because everything transformed, moved, etc. Now it's just hopping a car up in an odd way.

Blah, go back to the cool stuff (school bus->party boat, explorer trash truck, etc).

Re: Monster garage

Yeah.. but it looked like Jesse thought the entire idea was a f-wad from the begining (I missed the first couple of min though).

Man.. those early ones were awesome!! I thought the Benz conversion was pretty cool because it took a buttload of fabrication to make it work and it looked pretty stock from the outside.

The only parts of the show I liked last night was the dude sent packing and the LCAC liftoffand the amphib just demolishing the car.

I was sort of hopting the Marines were lining up on the beach to unleach a hail of lead on the thing but the driverover was pretty cool too.

Jesse does not seem like a dude that enjoys failing...

And WTF is up with American Chopper? Did this stop shooting it or something? All I see are re-runs... I mean I would not buy one but I find the concepts and execution interesting..

Re: Monster garage

I finally saw the episode and... Jesse must've been PMSing. What a dick. He is what he is, but there was no reason for him to go off like that... other than realizing that he himself screwed up by spending the first two days off-set and venting his frustration on the other guy.

That and the show's loss of direction = major loss of cool points. Pass the remote.
