wow.

to K9 and a speedy recovery. He is a valued contributor here at the org.

If an officer gets injured in the line of duty, then wouldn't his medical expenses and time off be compensated by the government??

the report said that he'll be off 6 months and expects the family to have some hardships ( i'd assume they meant financial??)

I wondered the same but having met him he is top notch. Certainly Goodyear needs to step up to the plate but I am hoping to send a bit to help also. Hopefully he has no long term issues

I have been told that not all police departments cover it. That shows how much that city/town backs their police force. They out their life on the line and when they get injured the city does nothing.

Get well, both of you.

I think jobs that involve people trying to shoot you should automatically include some AWESOME disability insurance.

Dumbass wanted to kill a man and died over $150

What in the hell is wrong with people.

If you wish to help.

Anyone wishing to assist the Melrose family can make a contribution to the Officer Melrose Family Assist Fund at Bank of America.

It's not much but I'll stop By BofA today on the way home from work and kick in 10 dollars.

K9 best wishes heal up buddy.

This is horrible . I just learned of this last night. I have his number somewhere, I'll have to dig it up and give him a call.

Get well Ricky.

WOW

Good to hear he will be ok. Seems like the PD should have something to support their officers who are injured in the line of duty?

I guess you can call any Bank of America location to donate?
