Re: Any physicists/engineers up for this?

I've been kicking around this thought for a while now, and have decided to seek the wisdom of the hordes that frequent Fireblades.org.

Is there a formula (or can one be derived) that could be used to calculate a maximum corner speed for a given corner radius and lean angle?
I'm curious to know how much more speed one can carry through a corner for each additional degree of lean, assuming the tires stick and the rider does not shift his center of gravity. *Any takers?

thedoctor did some work on this and lectured to some of her colleagues. I've got some of her slides somewhere maybe they'll have something. I'lll search my archives.

If not have a poke around here, you might find something.
