if you are running XP, go to your control panel, then to system, then to advance, and see what you have running. *I just selected best performance! *it cuts some pretty parts of XP...but I like it!

the first thing I do when I set up a machine is turn off all of the crap. If the users decide to turn on things like the transition effects, that's their problem.
It's purdy, but slow things way down even with today's technology.

I got appearance. I like the bubbly look of XP. For what I do, my machine performs well enough for me. Although I could use another 512mb of RAM
