Re: Whats Tickled Your Sense Of Humour Today...

While getting my MOT today, a bloke pulled up on a fairly new B-King - to ask the garage how to take his front wheel off! The mechanic had to explain to him how to undo the spindle bolt and pinch bolts. He also had to explain what pinch bolts were, even though he was pointing to them at the time. Then the bloke said 'but even with all that loose that bar through the wheel stops it coming out'. The mechanic then patiently explained that was the spindle, and it had to be removed as well......

Made me chuckle at the time...... some people should not be allowed within 10 yards of a spanner.

Did the mechanic also explain that said bloke would need some kinda way to support the bike when the wheel was taken out..

I now have visions of it crashing down onto its forks and belly when he removes the spindle

And maybe that the brake calipers have to come off first.

I was young and stupid then. I'm old and stupid now.
We get too soon old, and too late smart.
I started off with nothing and still have most of it left.
