Looks like it just needs a good cleaning. Even if it has scratches, a good jeweler can probably make them disappear, or at least seem very minute.

Re: Steal It Back

Looked in their FAQ's, and it didn't explain:

How they got this stuff, and
Why isn't it being returned to the rightful owners?

Or is this an online junk - pawn shop trying for the "it's stolen, so it must be good" cachet ?

Re: Steal It Back

I believe it is unclaimed property recovered during arrests. some of it is surplus material; such as light bars and parking meters. Some of the studios donate old props and promotions material for fund raising.

Re: Steal It Back

WTF!!! Isn't it illegal to sell stolen property? Hell if this is how it works I could do the same and say hey, nobody claimed it.

Another great site to visit.

This property is from police agencies though, so they are allowed to sell it if it hasn't been claimed in a certain amount of time. Airlines do the same thing with the contents of unclaimed luggage.

So I'll just hide the stuff in my garage for awhile then sell it.

Re: Steal It Back

Just curious, why exactly do you have surplus hordes of stolen property that you need to sell?

Re: Steal It Back

Sure it looks like a good deal. Check out the shipping prices. A little steep if you ask me.

I had to look around the site for the explanation.

How it works

Re: Steal It Back

Thanks, Maxib

Next time I see the local Chief, I'll ask him what he thinks about this. He was pretty forthcoming on his opinion of phone solicitations...

Hey, maybe this explains how Chain gets an endless supply of slipons for his bikes !

Kidding, kidding...
