Few ride pics: Rhymes with buritto...

First time out today on my 2-stroke. Took a bit to get used to the the bike, but it's a kicker, nice and quick, very nimble.

My yellow, a friend's red:

RC,

That is sweet! I would love to have a two smoker again! How many miles do you have on it? Biggest likes, and biggest gripes...we wanta know. Do you carry spare plugs as I used to do with my old Yammie?? I really need a reason to get one of those for me...oops, for my son; so to help convince my wife, anything you can do to help is appreciated.

Looked closer at the pictures. What's the difference with the wheels between yours and your friends'? Different years, or options?

It's a baby 916. 5100 km on it. Single cylinder, electric start.
Yes, I carry a spark plug in the trunk. and some tools.
It was my first time on it today. Starts slow out of first. Redlines easy at 11.5k RPMs, but really enjoys being in 9-10k RPM range. Wheelies pretty easily too. Single front disc brake (Brembo calipers) that work better than my 929. (tested by being majorly cutoff today, grabbed the brakes on this little thing and it stopped to a dime). Never felt brakes like this before.
Doesn't smoke much (unless it's warming up cold).
Not too loud either.
Keep it in it's sweet spot otherwise it's really sluggish.

Wheels are different because the red one's a '95, yellow's a '00.
Guy who owns the red one also has an MV Agusta Senna

Did you get a good deal on it, and was it hard to find one? I would love to have one.

Re: Few ride pics: Rhymes with buritto...

Those are pretty sweet rides!

I have a quick question though: I thought that 2-strokes were for off-road use only (cannot register with DMV for street use). I was actually thinking of buying a honda 2stroker when I was in Japan and bringing it over, but I guess I wasn't too familiar with the regs. Can someone let me know.

Thanks.
