Re: Low-Speed Full Tuck Goofballs

Man, I'm starting to see more and more of these guys. They're doing between 30-50 mph and are at full tuck. It's not raining, it's not excessively windy, I think it's just called they're goofballs. Hey- maybe I'm an idiot for sitting up at these speeds. Anybody else seen any of these guys?

Re: Low-Speed Full Tuck Goofballs

It'll wrinkle your T shirt if you sit up in the wind, so 'goofballs' have to tuck!

They're all college kids, dammit! They don't care if their shirt's wrinkled. (I'm a college kid, too, but I guess I just have more sense, he he.)

Re: Low-Speed Full Tuck Goofballs

I do a semi-tuck when I get bored or tired of sitting up. Rest down on the tank.

Could be compared to the Celica commercials....just looks fast!

Re: Low-Speed Full Tuck Goofballs

Not to often I see sportbikes around here, but have seen more this yr then prior yrs. Thing I note is 75% of them ride with their feet pointed towards the pavement. Obviously newbies & just a bit of that on a dirt bike & the foot would be broken or rider would have got off easy with just having the toe of a shoe get hit with a rock or clump or rock & taken off the bike. Still I cannot really blame them for a few yrs back so many rode upright riding position bikes with their feet on the pillion footrests & these new kids would have recalled the distinctive toes down pattern as being so sharp!!!!!!!!!!

Yeap. When kocking out 400/500 miles of mostly twisties.. when on the slab I like to change possitions to prevent bordom and other discomforts. PLUS it really does help milage. I did a short-shift tuck-stint at about 50 and got 52 miles *after* the reserver light came on (no gas stations were open!!!!&#33. I still had over .1 left in tank when I finally did get where I was going (showing 178 miles since the last fill-up).

I guess I am goofy...

I love to tuck slow. It confuses the cops.

Re: Low-Speed Full Tuck Goofballs

you have to remember that some of these riders only weigh 110 pounds, they have to tuck, so they don't get blown off it

Do unto others, before some prick does it to you!

Re: Low-Speed Full Tuck Goofballs

I tuck no matter where I am, oh wait - just realized this has nothing to do with 'the rupaul tuck' uhhh...nevermind

why put off today what you can wake up late and forget to do tomorrow.

I'm guilty of goofballin' when the bugs are gettin' caked on the helmet. Keep thinking if I want to put back on my DB for insect season..
