I'm tempted....

I have one of these http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...egoryId=155627

sitting next to me at the moment. If I happened to have a jug of kerosene next to it I'd probably fire it up to see what this baby can do

Doubt my co-workers would appreciate it much, for some reason.

Re: I'm tempted....

Probably one of those gas heaters you hang from the ceiling and tie into your gas line

They've got propane power heaters too, damn things can turn a garage into an oven.

No matter how beautiful a woman may be, some man somewhere is sick of her sh!t.

Re: I'm tempted....

I've got the 110,000 BTU model in my shed @ home. It gives plenty of heat, but the fumes can get to you after a while. Deisel smells much worse. If you get one, make sure nothing flammable is close to the front of it and throw a handful of sawdust in the back, viola, Batmobile!

I used the propane radiant type when spackling/taping and they work very well.

Safest is electric heater or oil radiator heater. But good insulation and closed doors make all the difference in the world.

Re: I'm tempted....

I have used a Propane 'torpedo' heater for years. It works well and is plenty safe unless you have that sawdust........

Re: I'm tempted....

My buddy's diesel bullet heater is a bit scary. It decides to shoot flames every once in a while without the sawdust.

I recently bought an electric oil filled heater when I was working on a bike the other morning and the WD-40 froze in the nozzle. It does get the garage up to reasonable temps, but then again, we're rarely below the 30's.
