Ride video

Hadn't seen this one before, pretty damn nice...

http://www.thepestilence.com/videos/...Episode_10.wmv

Check it out about 2/3s of the way through, the guy that passes the camera bike...if anyone ever rode that close to me on the street through the curves at those speeds, they'd promptly get the **** kicked out them at the next stop.

Re: Ride video

Pretty good video clip. Although I can't stand it when people put music to these vids. I want to hear engine sounds, not mumbo-jumbo

Re: Ride video

Man, I don't know how those guys do it. Blasting through blind turns on pure faith...law of averages will catch up with them some day.

Looked like a fun road though, but definitely not my thang...I guess with age comes wisdom!

Same way we did before we got on the track.... Hell, you saw how scared sh*tless I was in Ohio last year... But go back a couple of years, and it was game on in NH, VT, and OH.

Re: Ride video

That all looked like good riding to me, and nothing stupid. Boomer and I pass each other that close on the road.

The pass looked fine to me too, and both riders seemed to have good skills. It's the speeds they were at going into some of the turns that spooks me now. Like NinerPilot mentioned, I've ridden like that on the street in the past too...just can't bring myself to do it anymore.

Yeah, but you guys like to play 'grab ass' when you ride, so that doesn't count.

It wasn't the pass, it was the distance between the two guys (the two up front) while they were running through some of the curves. Way too damn close for street riding at those speeds.

I ride with some of these guys at the track..they ride well. They make a run up palomar to make sure everythings clear on the roadway before getting jiggy with it....remember most of these guys are running that road multiple times a day multiple times per week.

All I'm implying is that if the guy in front goes down for whatever reason, the guy behind him doesn't have enough room/time to avoid colliding with the downed bike/rider. There's just absolutely no reason whatsoever to be riding that tightly bunched up.

Ahh..you're just getting too freeking old....you're reflexes are slowing down so you need the .5 mile following distance to slow down...
