Ever get tired of living?

This is NOT a "talk me out of suicide" thread!

I'm just tired...tired of the day to day grind, the home life, the internet BS...just tired.

I guess I'm looking for ideas to rejuvenate...the usual rah rah, go to a spa, read the bible, work out more...ain't cutting it.

I am not looking for cheerleading here,(so save it, but thanks anyways), just ideas.

TIA

J

Re: Ever get tired of living?

As a good friend of mine would say, "****'em". When it all gets ya down, go out and go fishing. It's not adding something else to your life that'll make you feel like living again, it's the taking a step back and realizing that it doesn't matter.

Grandfather you say? Take one of you grandkids with you and pass on your skills and teach the kid to bait a hook. Grandkids a pain in the ass? Take your neighbours kids... whatever.

Re: Ever get tired of living?

fumb, you have become eerily quiet as of late. I think you need to come to my place in Tucson for a visit (with bike if possible). Seriously guy, I think I am in the same boat as you, as far as life being grounded on a shoal, but we must, and will, go on! You have many friends here on the .org, so don't despair. You need a desert fix! C'mon down! Would love to meet you! Now quit your whining and do something about it...

Re: Ever get tired of living?

If its work, maybe a change is in order.... I cant imagine getting up to go to work and dreading what the day will bring. My job that I am just getting into, I cant wait to get there and get in to it. Granted a Police Officer doesnt pay the best, but I truly enjoy it. Your never too old to start over. Take some time off from whatever troubles you and look at it in a different light. One of my favorite sayings is "F'em if they cant take a joke" ...

Chris you make moi sense...but I have chosen my path and am pretty locked into it (financially) and a "do over" right now is pretty much unfeasable. It's funny, I once dreamed of becoming a police officer and at 18, after my third arrest, I decided I couldn't handle the bullshit they had to deal with, amongst other reasons for not pursuing that career choice...

My friend Shawn in Dallas, *ahem* uses those services.

Fumbducker, if you need a break, come down next weekend. My girlfriend has a few single friends that are hot. We could all head downtown for some dinner and drinks. You got a place to crash
