Yep. Doesn't it seem there is a lot going on these days all over? Makes you wonder - what's next?

Just to cheer you up the volcano in Yellow Stone is due to erupt (does so every 600,000 years and its late), the ground has started to rise which is showing a build up of pressure*.

It would suit you, falt in fuoco...

At this time it looks like they've evacuated 95% of the town of Slave lake and at least 1/3 of the town has burned to the ground!! Pictures coming out of there are really horrid.
Thank god no casualties have been reported. Let's all hope they have safe places to go.

The other end of the mississippi is in Canada and there's massive flood worries there too. Just let out a portion of a river to purposely flood an area of 150 houses/farms to save the 800 or so upstream. Looks like its working and the water is so slow moving that only one house has been flooded so far.

Even here it's been raining all April and for most of May so far. We have a 7 day forecast of rain with a 15 second ray of sunshine on Saturday.

Re: Alberta fires?

No, I tend to stay away from watching TV. If I am, then it is a movie.
News papers, unless the cover story really catches my eye, I really dont have interest in.

And it is pretty normal for there to be a lot of fires haha. Just so happens some of them started at the worst possible time. Right when we were having heavy winds. Which is what doomed Slave Lake.
