oh man...I have an idea...

lets all get in a room alone, and that way we can all be safe from the viscous out crying of 'society'

Re: I just love our "crybaby" society

Our society is becoming so pussified I can't believe it sometimes. CA is definately the softest. Maybe it's the climate...

Another reason in a long list that my children will not attend a government run school.

They'll have to ban 'motorcyclist' next. Cages have no concept of a two wheeled vehich that can out-do anything a car can, twicefold, except maybe during rain and snow.

....double plus stupid.

Be fast or be last.

My wife and I home schooled our daughter, and other than the fact she scored 1457 on the SATs and has been first in her class for the past 2 years at the university she attends (3.96 lifetime GPA), all the BS about government (public) schools is probably just bs . . . Oh yeh, she knows all of the banned words and uses them as needed . . .

Re: I just love our "crybaby" society

living in an adverse society tends to build character. 'They' (the thought police) seem to want to eliminate character. Their intent it seems to me is that no one will experience anything unpleasant. Where is the pleasant without the unpleasant? It's impossible so why even attempt it?

Re: I just love our "crybaby" society

I knew we were in trouble when we started singing 'Frosty the Snowperson' at school in the 80's. No joke.

Re: I just love our "crybaby" society

god I hate living in a hellish banned society.
Some of the greatest books are already banned.

Anyone read 'Politically Correct Bedtime Stories'.
Pretty funny stuff.

Yup. Welcome to the wonderful world of political-correctness. This is California, of course, where homeschooling your kids can land you in jail if you're not a properly certified teacher or some equivalent. That's right -- you have to obtain the permission (by certification) of the Government to teach your own kids.

Re: I just love our "crybaby" society

How come the vary people that read this stuff years ago as kids (and had no clue about any 'pretence' of a book[s]) are trying to ban the stuff now?
Isnt it obvious that if they have turned out well enough to make good decisions on their behalf and the rest of ours, that if we read the stuff, that years later we'll be able to function just as well as them.
